Our Clinic:
We are equipped with a number of services, all designed to provide you, the patient, the best care possible. In addition to Chiropractic Care; we offer massage therapy, spinal decompression, intersegmental traction, and acupuncture.
Chiropractic:
Chiropractic is a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that primarily focuses on conditions of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and overall general health and function of the body and spine. Doctors of Chiropractic are taught a wide variety of skills to treat conditions of the spine and body. Chiropractors are also educated to provide nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle counseling as well as recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises.
Acupuncture:
Acupuncture was developed by the Chinese thousands of years ago. It is performed to stimulate points on the body to help relieve pain, strengthen the immune system, improve function, and reduce stress. Electrical stimulation can even be done with Acupuncture in order to help stimulate the body. Acupuncture works to improve the overall function and wellbeing of the body especially when used with Chiropractic care. Acupuncture is a safe, painless and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical problems.
Spinal Decompression Therapy:
Spinal Decompression Therapy, or DTS, is a non-surgical decompression therapy designed to stretch the spine and alleviate pressure on the disc spaces in a controlled manner to relieve back pain and/or pain going down the extremities.
Massage Therapy:
When paired with Chiropractic care, the deep tissue massage helps aid in the recovery process by treating the surrounding muscles and soft tissue of the spine.
Therapeutic Modalities
Electrical Stimulation or “E-Stim”
Electrical Stimulation or E-stim, is a type of non-invasive and painless therapy that delivers a mild electrical impulse to a specific area of the body with the goal of providing pain relief and promoting healing from injuries and nerve damage.
How am I different from a Tens Unit?
A TENS unit can operate very similarly but the major difference is the function and purpose. TENS units focus solely on stopping the pain signals from getting to the brain while the unit is operating, whereas with E-Stim it is designed to collaborate with the nervous system to promote healing during rehabilitation and provides long term benefits.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Therapeutic Ultrasound is a non-invasive and natural treatment that uses sound waves to treat muscle and ligament conditions. The sound waves cause vibrations that generate heat to help reduce inflammation, increase mobility, and improve the blood flow to the painful area all to help improve the healing process.
Cold Laser Therapy
Cold Laser Therapy uses a low-force laser to help stimulate the healing of any injured or damaged tissue. Unlike a higher powered laser used for surgery or cosmetics, the cold laser does not heat the tissue when the area is being treated. It is commonly used to treat chronic and acute conditions related to pain, swelling or spasms.
